Job Description

The Grant and Funding Specialist (Volunteer) will identify, apply for, and secure funding opportunities to support MHI’s programs and growth initiatives. You will research relevant grants, develop compelling proposals, and manage the application process from start to finish, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and organizational objectives. This role involves maintaining a calendar of funding deadlines, building relationships with donors and funding bodies, and collaborating with internal teams to gather necessary program information. You will also prepare progress reports for funders, track grant expenditures, and ensure compliance with funding agreements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising.
• Strong research skills to identify suitable funding opportunities.
• Ability to develop persuasive proposals and budgets.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously.
• Knowledge of healthcare, nonprofit funding, or international development is an advantage.
