Job Description

The Frontend Developer (Volunteer) will develop and maintain the user-facing components of MHI’s digital platforms, ensuring a seamless, responsive, and visually appealing experience for users. You will build, test, and optimize web and mobile interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and other relevant frameworks while adhering to accessibility and performance standards. This role involves collaborating with UI/UX designers to translate mockups into functional code, integrating APIs with backend systems, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. You will also participate in code reviews, maintain clean code practices, and contribute to enhancing the overall user experience across MHI’s digital solutions.

Requirements

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React (or similar frontend frameworks).
• Experience building responsive and accessible web interfaces.
• Understanding of API integration and frontend performance optimization.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean code.
• Ability to work collaboratively with designers and backend developers.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Previous experience in healthcare or nonprofit platforms is an advantage.
