Job Description

The UI/UX Designer (Volunteer) will design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that deliver engaging experiences across MHI’s digital platforms. You will conduct user research, create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, and ensure all visuals align with MHI’s brand identity and accessibility standards. This role involves collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to translate requirements into effective design solutions. You will maintain and enhance the organization’s design system, conduct usability testing, and apply feedback to improve user journeys. The UI/UX Designer will be instrumental in ensuring our platforms are functional, visually appealing, and easy to navigate.

Requirements

• Some experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Knowledge of usability principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to conduct and analyze user research and testing.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience designing for healthcare or nonprofit platforms is an advantage.
