Job Description

The Finance Officer (Volunteer) will oversee MHI’s financial operations, ensuring effective management of resources, accurate reporting, and compliance with fiscal regulations. You will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, and maintaining financial records to support decision-making and organizational growth. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, conducting audits, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization. You will work closely with the Executive team to develop financial strategies, collaborate with business development on evaluating partnerships, and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies when required. The Finance Officer will play a key role in ensuring financial integrity and sustainability within the organization.

Requirements

• Degree in finance, accounting, or related field (professional certifications are an advantage).
• Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
