Job Description

The Social Media Officer (Volunteer) will manage MHI’s social media presence, driving engagement and building a vibrant online community. You will develop and implement content strategies across multiple platforms, monitor trends and conversations, and ensure that all interactions reflect MHI’s brand values and mission. This role involves creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, responding to comments, and fostering community participation. You will track analytics to assess campaign performance, collaborate with marketing and content teams on brand-aligned initiatives, and identify opportunities to grow reach and influence. The Social Media Officer will also work closely with customer support to address inquiries and maintain a positive user experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing social media accounts for an organization or brand.
• Strong understanding of major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn).
• Skills in content creation, copywriting, and basic graphic design.
• Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven strategy improvement.
• Ability to engage with online communities in a professional and authentic manner.
• Creativity, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare or nonprofit sectors is a plus.
